    Lineup F44 question

The lineup series has an F4, but I don't see an F44 anywhere.
Is there a small speaker with dual W4-1337's?
Can such a speaker be used as center channel on it's side?
    Enlighten me O Jed! ;x(

Not Jed, but I followed his Lineup build and he didn't do a F44. He did an R44 (which I built) and a D44. I think the dome tweeter is now unavailable though.

Exactly ... I cannot find that tweeter ... that's why I was asking if there is a design without it using two W4-1337's.

        Adelaar,

I'm glad you asked this question, the Ribon version is too
expensive for me. I love the reports on the woofer.

There would be quite a bit of comb filtering at the high frequencies if both share the same full range response. One possibility that I haven't seen much would be to do a ".5" way with the 2nd W4 serving as baffle step and rolled off at 800hz or so.

Aha ... that explains it then why it isn't there.
I'll first make an F4 then and see how I like that as a center channel and take it from there ... I can still use anything between a simple F4 and a 2RCC but that lastone seems a bit of overkill

Is the Vifa BC25SC-55/04 a possible replacement for the tweeter in de D44?
It looks almost exactly the same

I'd need to measure it in a test baffle. Send your cabinet with drivers loaded up and I'll do it for the board free of charge. I'd just need someone to cover the shipping costs.

Sending it from Belgium to NY and back will probably cost more than the whole speaker :$
                  Thanks for the offer though
