    Problems with 26W Scan Speak

If anyone else bought some of those Madisound clearance drivers last year, you might want to check the surround to cone interface. I bought one to test out, decided against going that route and have just had it screwed to the test baffle for the last number of months. I was rounding up all my drivers to put up for sale when i noticed that the surround is separating from the cone along a good portion of its radius. Be very careful as you check though, the surround came away from the cone without much pressure at all. Too bad for me.....

Mine still appear to be fine, thanks for the heads up though.

Any warranty recourse from ScanSpeak? It's not like these were put into even normal use.

        Madisound services ScanSpeak drivers.

I've used them to recone SS drivers I damaged. No reason to think they can't fix the problem.

Madisound- run like a good-old familiy owned business. Responsive to customers needs and best service and shipping I've encountered.

Give them a ring and discuss what you've posted here.

I expect Madisound will take care of you fine- haven't had problems with mine, though. Been playing in a system for 10 months. Well, playing when I'm here...

Probably only an issue only with the aluminium versions, not the paper ones.
