    Correcting countersink - simple jig

This was discussed in another thread but I figured I'd post separately.

I use this with my Bosch trim-router - works for doing slight enlargements OR making it just a tad deeper.

It requires the center circle be properly round if you're enlarging, and as assembled, it won't work for tweeters (though he concept could be adjusted). I use it with a spiral down-cut bit (1/4")

I far prefer the trim router for this kind of work.

Not to be obtuse, but this is actually a "counterbore" or "spotface" jig. Countersinks are for seating conical screw heads.

How it ever came to be known as such in the DIY speaker world, I will never understand.

Sorry, I'm an engineer. (mechanical) :B
