I'm predicting (and hoping) that the RS180 woofers will go on sale in the next sale flyer, which comes out May 1. They seem to go on sale often in the flyers.

Sorry for the noobie question but are the listed W4-1337SD the same speaker as the 1337S that is specified in the plans? I assume so since I can't even find the 1337S on TBs website, only the 1337SD. I am a little ways off on my build still but at that price I might as well buy them now.

Yes, the linked speaker http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...number=264-848 is the exact one I used in my Statement build. It is the one called for in the plans.

The RS series was on sale a lot last year, but I haven't seen a sale on them yet in 2010, unfortunately.

Madisound for Founteks, and I don't think they'll ever go on sale...I've never seen one. Meniscus Audio also has the Fountek.

A question regarding the Statement Monitor....Was the original woofer the Rs180s? And if it was is the xover now on the site the original xover? I have several RS180s woofers and with this sale looked like a good time to build the Statements Monitors...............Thanks BobC

Damn you guys! I can't resist a deal like that... just picked up 4. Wife is going to kill me. I did give away one pair of speakers (SR71) to my brother this Xmas but I still have more speakers than room. Maybe if I take my time and wait to buy the other drivers on sale as well, she won't notice. :P

Hi Bob,

The Statements Monitors use the RS180-4 unshielded driver. There haven't been any changes in drivers or crossover.
