Apparently this is an earlier batch in which the chinese cross-over designer tuned for flattest impedance instead of flattest response.

$350 and rebuilt the crossover and you may have something worth more than the sum of its parts.

A lot of press at PE about that brand when they selling a pair for $150 (different ones) . Zaph even picked up a pair, measured, and redesigned the crossover. Those look quite different - and cheap compared to the others. They may or may not have the same drivers. Who knows... For $350 you almost have all the drivers and crossovers for the Sietecerocero project!
