    WTMW Binding Post Question

I FINALLY have time to finish up my DM WTMW CC and had a quick question about how to connect everything to the source. Did you guys use two sets of binding posts (one set for the TM and another for the WW) and biamp or did you just hook everything together and run off one set of binding posts.

My predicament is that I only have one set of binding posts. I can order another set from Amazon that looks almost like my current set, but it will be slightly different. I don't know if I should go with another pair in order to allow biamping. Does biamping this speaker help any?

A single binding post should be fine- I rarely hear of people using biamping for an HT center, which is not to say it couldn't be done, but the level of benefits are questionable- why not use a single well designed amplifier with good characteristics? It's not like they're a hard load to drive- then, separating the elmeents can have benefits.

Thank you so much Jon, now I've got to figure out how to get all three crossovers to end at that one location.... Any suggestions?

I remember when I built the Nat P's that I just soldered everything together, but I don't think I can pull that off on this speaker.

I do multiple terminations at one binding post terminal by using ring terminals which slip over the binding post; two or three can be clamped by the single nut, each terminal has wires going to the crossover boards.

        Looks like this in practice.

The wires are stripped and tinned with Cardas quad eutectic solder, then the connectors crimped, and optionally, soldered again. A local hardware store carries ring terminals with gold plating for marine low voltage wiring.
