Diy vertical center options?

I'm building two new subwoofer boxes to replace my TV stand and I want to put a vertical center between them. I was thinking of doing a three way with an RS270, an RS150, and an RS28. Has anyone done something like this with these drivers?

I would rather go with an established design for this one but I haven't seen many vertical center designs.

I'll probably never want to build another center again so this one should be able to keep up with the biggest mains I can sneak in past the spousal unit.

So what do you guys think I should build?

Oh yeah, it will be powered by a Denon 1709 (for now) and my current mains are ported MTM towers with Peerless 850136 8" woofers.

why not build a third matching mtm tower and use that as your center? unless there are some other constraints, or you cant get the same drivers. just an idea

I've never seen that combo. There are several WTMW horizontal center designs. This is a vertical TM design, so you have all the good lobbing mojo there, but with the woofers off to the sides. Works really well for a center. See the RS TMWW / WTMW or my Khancenter thread in Mission Accomplished.

I've seen very few designs that use the RS270 (CJD's 3-way towers are the only ones that come to mind, but I don't get out that much). The RS270 requires a big box and with a pair of subs added, I wonder what the value is of using the RS270 is over a pair of RS225.
