Here is the scoop... I built something that other people might actually be able to reproduce. I hope the tb 2" mid doesn't go out of production....
3 way center channel.
Parts
--Dayton nd20fb
--rs180-4
--Tang Band 50-1426SA 2" Textile Dome Midrange
XO info --
3rd order bw all the way around.
I can't say I have ever considered using these as mains. I am sure they would be ok but I would consider rearranging the tweeter and the mid for optimal dispersion. They have gobs of bass potential. Could be used full range but will take huge power when crossed to a sub at any reasonable Frequency >60hz.
The construction...
--.75" mdf for the baffle
--.5" mdf for the sides
--one window brace from front to back, full height.
--Lined with 1.5" rockwool 60
--4 pair subwoofer terminal for external xo
--External xo (one in, 3 outs.)
--Large chamfer on front and back...(1"-1.25" cutting length)
--Port fires out of rear, so you don't hear the port...
It works pretty well. ..
P.S. My measured on box FRD/ZMA and PCD files are attached to the zip...
3 way center channel.
