      Excellent stuff in this thread...

How about the another Vifa tweeter, DX25TG05-04? Has anyone tested, used or whatever it? Seems to have even better off-axis response than XT25.

Many folks at the Mad board have tried and measured the DX25, and apparently not been totally enthusiastic about it's charms.

Measured frequency response in the audible region (out to 20 kHz) hasn't been as flat as expected, even for folks that get some really nice curves with the XT25.

Several, including Mark K, are extolling the virtues of the Vifa XT19, particularly it's dispersion, though noting that it's somewhat less linear than the XT25 (let's face it, it doesn't have much radiating area!)

Thanks to Keith Kidder and DLR for these measurements...

Thanks, should have searched the Madisound forum first. Anyway found also this graph on Kidders site:

          XT wins hands down.

There seems to be several models of XT25, wonder if any of them is preferred (haven't found the data sheets for other than XT25TG30-04). This list is from our Vifa reseller Hifitalo.fi in Finland (price in EUR):
          DOME XT25SC30-04 TWEETER NEODYM 73,00
          DOME XT25TG30-04 TWEETER 57,00
          DOME XT25TG35-04 TWEETER 59,00
          DOME XT25SG60-04 TWEETER 58,00

Edit: XT25TG35-04 seems to have less sensitivity, 91 dB vs. 92 of XT25TG30-04, would that mean also that the frequency response has been cleaned (also from the resonances at ~20k, visible in waterfall response)?
