    Suggestions for an attenuator?

    I just got an emotiva xp3-a to drive my LCR wwmt's. Great amp. More power than I have ever had.
    The problem is the input sensitivity, or the output from the avr, but I can only turn the volume control about 20% for the entire range.
    Just wondering if there is a simple, elegant solution available. I have heard of attenuating cables, but anything else I should look at? Maybe just make own cables and insert a resistor in each one? (Or a network in each one?)
    I can not adjust the source level on the AVR.
