I have one where I cut off the back cup. Testing was sidetracked since a different speaker was a priority. I'll get back to it in a week or so.
Here's Kevin's post about this....I've yet to see any posts on other forums

Nope they're glued on and it's a little tricky to get them removed. Doing so takes a matte knife/razor knife and a steady hand
