faceted cabinet

are there any rules to a faceted cabinet? I think the angle everyone uses is 45 degrees but any other rules? any reading I can find? Do they have to be slanted? To what degree? 10 degrees?

any help would be appreciated

There's an old "Blind Faith" song, written by Rick Gretch if I recall correctly, which is titled, "Do what you like"; that goes here- the idea is control of baffle behavior with regards to transition from 2pi to 4pi space, and diffraction ripples in the response.

I suggest playing around with some of the available freeware tools in Excel, such as BDS on the PC, or XLBaffleBoundary on the Mac, to give you a feel for the acoustical properties of various approaches and dimensions.
