    Off subject electronics question

Really off subject, but from reading this forum all the time I figure one of you elctronics simulation wizards might be able to help me out with this one.

I need to find and graph the transfer function of a few very simple high pass filters. trick is I need it from 9 kHz to 1 GHz.

1rst one is a 5 Ohm series resistor with a 50 uH parallel inductor

2nd in is just a 50 uH parallel inductor

3rd is a 1 Ohm series resistor with a 50 uH parallel inductor

50 Ohm load on all 3

Second part of the question is can anyone who knows how to get the answer help me set up the math in excel so I don't have to post off the wall help me questions ops:

Siegfried Linkwitz recommends the freeware CircuitMaker, which is a SPICE program. I downloaded it when I saw his recommendation but I've never installed it to see how easy it is to use.

Thanks Dennis, I am attempting to work with that right now. Just can't seem to get the simulation to actually run. I am missign somethign stupid, but I have only been playing with it for about 10 minutes.

LT spice from Linear Technologies...free with no limitations.

MicroCap demo...easy to use, but with node limitations (which wouldn't apply to what you want)

TinaTi is by far the easiest Spice simulator I've played with.
Just remember to place an unconnected IC in passive circuits.
View the TI TINA-TI Simulation tool downloads, description, features and supporting documentation and start designing.

I second the recommendation for LT Spice.
