    16 ohm drivers??

There doesn't seem to be many 16 ohm drivers out there. Why?

Two words: solid state. My PHL 1240 midbasses are 16ohm, but I wire them in parallel. If you really need 16 ohm, look at the pro audio companies.

Right now the easiest way to get 16 ohm speakers is to use dual voice coil speaker. Wire them in series for 16 ohms or in parallel for 4 ohms.

Dayton, as well as others, make DVC (Dual Voice Coil) speakers. You also find them in some speakers intended as Subs or woofers for use in a car.
