Anyone tried these midwoofers?

It looks interesting, and judging by the impedance curve there is copper through the gap. It looks like a 5.5" version of the woofer used in the Magico Mini.

Wow that's quite a bit cheaper than the Magico Mini, and I do like the LCY Ribbon tweeters that it uses. Not sure about the crossover point though, that would definately strain the tweeter.

What I took away from the review is that the ATC midwoofer has good bass output and a clean midrange. This bodes well.

Magico used to use the ATD (or something like it modified) but they now have their own woofers which are fairly impressive. There has been detailed press about some of their stuff in The Absolute Sound as well as some other mags.

Those ATD woofers are imho over priced, the distortion isn't as low as the other hard cones. In Europe those woofers are more expensive than Accuton/ Thiel & Partner.
