    sub enclosure shape???

Quick question here....I am about to build a sub and need to know if it shape of the box matters. For example, my box will be around 150 cu litres and placed in the corner...does it make any difference if the enclosure is shaped like the traditional box or or something more triangular. I suspect that it wont matter as long as the volume is the same, but figured I would check regardless.
I will be pairing this with my recently finished RS150 MTM towers...which sound fantastic btw :T

Realistically the shape of a sub cabinet doesn't matter given the wavelengths in the passband.

That said, a narrow and deep box is a better choice than wide and short. Narrow and deep allows more space for the rearwave to be absorbed before it can bounce back toward the cone.

Watch the corner placement due to effects of the room. The 2 walls and floor will act like a "horn" to the woofer.

That is not true for a sub the wave lengths in the subwoofer domain are way larger than typical box dimensions. This makes that we are dealing with a mass spring system.
