    SoundSplinter RL-R15 2ohm vs 4ohm?

    Hi All,

I'm building a new subwoofer using the SoundSplinter RL-R15 and Behringer EP2500.

There are two choices for the subwoofer 2ohm and 4ohm, but not sure which one to choose.... ...what benifit will I get using a 2ohm over the 4ohm? Becuase I would think the 2ohm would need to be wired for a 4ohm load to the amplifier.

Box size is going to be 9 cu ft with a 6"/24 port.

It is a dual voice coil driver. So if you buy the 2ohm version, you have the option of wiring it for either 1 ohm or 4 ohms. With the 4 ohm version, you have the option of 2 ohm or 8ohm.

I personally own 2 of the 2 ohm versions. They are each wired for 4ohm, hooked up to their own channel on the EP2500. Works well.
