    Building A/V rack...

    Hello. I am building a component rack (based on TNT's flexy rack) and I am wondering if having a 'box-shelf' at the bottom filled with frac sand would help to reduce vibrations and whatnot. Thx.

    I doubt it. Even if you firmly anchor the bottom with weight, the steel rods are the 'flexy' point. And realistically, a good power amp is as heavy as a box of sand.

      Ah, alright. I was just thinking it would work like a dead blow hammer. Oh well. Off I go to buy supplies.
