    Is this inductor bad?

i just opened up the rest of my crossover components and noticed one of my inductors is kind of messed up. it looks as if it was dragged along something and the bottom side of it is banged up. on one side there is a lot of residue and the coils are kind of squished together. the other side looks like it was dropped and the coils are not sitting properly. is this still safe to use? thanks in advance..

Yes it's completely safe to use.

The residue is probably from the plastic bubble wrap rubbing against the insulation on the wire.

Measure it, I bet it's indentical to the undented one.

Given your location I'd go ahead and use it. If you want to wait for international shipping/customs/etc, I'm sure they'll replace it.
