Baffle diffraction step Vertical vs. Horizontal ?

When designing a Baffle diffraction step, all calculations are based on width of the baffle the assumption that the speaker is placed vertically.
So, we have a perfect x-over that has the baffle step for reduction in high frequency at a calculated F3.
Now what happens when the same speaker is placed horizontally on its side?
Since now the baffle width has changed with respect to driver.

    Thanks.

Actually, it's baffle dimensions that matter as a whole (including any edge treatment). So nothing changes with regard to any step frequency.

However, lobing behavior changes, and (depending on crossover frequency in part) the potential for comb filtering in the horizontal plane also exists.
