    downward firing titanic?

I was thinking about building a new sub using the Dayton TIT400C-4 15" Titanic Mk III Subwoofer 4 Ohm and a Europower Amp.

Is this sub suitable for downward firing? I'm going to build a standard box and stick it in a corner. I'm hoping to finish it so it looks like an end table instead of a sub (playing nice with the SO).

      Thanks!

So (If I did the math right) the sag of this sub is 3.05 which is well over 5% of Xmax (1.03).

Any recommendations on a 15" sub that is good for downfiring in a similar price range?

That last sentance in confusing on the PE webpage, but I think they mean to say that the percentage of sag, per the provided formula, has to be less than 5%. I believe your 3.05% is therefore more than aceptable.

I doubt there is any sub driver, when using that formula, that would yield less than 5% of the drivers XMAX as they state in that last sentance.
