reconnect my old sub with my new DIY sub?

I built a new sonosub and I am driving it with an Behringer EP2500. I was thinking of reconnecting my old Velodyne with the new sub. Can I just use a y-adapter to add the old sub. How does this effect the sub output signal to each sub. Also, does this put extra stress on the subwoofer preamp output? I don't want to take a chance of blowing the preamp output transistors.

    Sure use a "Y" it's not a problem.

Drive one sub off each channel of the EP-2500. Use the level controls to balance the outputs.

      Thomas,

My old sub is a Velodyne. It has it's own amp. I was just wondering if the same principles apply when running line level outputs via splitter as running speaker level outputs. If you run to many speakers in parallel you lower the resistance and the amp clips and can be damaged. So does this apply to line-level outputs on a preamp?
