    Remember the Dayton RS TMWW's ? here's mine--finally!

First, enormous thanks to Jon, Thomas, to Dennis Murphy and everyone who carries on the techie stuff on this site! ;x(;x(;x(;x(;x(;x(;x(
Even if I had the money to spend on honest audio, I still wouldn't know "what's in the box" Now I know if I live long enough, I may find out. :B
Last November I ordered the stuff for the left, right, and center. The center is still untouched because I have to finish re-do's on the house.
So here's a couple pics of what happens when an ex-carpenter says to himself, Hey!, I can do it THIS way!

I still have to fix minor stuff, like those holes!
For now, I'm just listening till the 2nd bath and wife's office are Done To Acceptance, so I can then tweak, and get to the Center. :T:T:T

I don't believe he bent the wood but rather cut a million cross sections . I could be wrong though.

I have about one decent side, and one back.

a translam is stacked material, not bent.

I'll consider myself schooled now. Thank you. ops:

And now that you mention it, I remember the original thread now. I can see why it took him a year to finish.

                          Re coctostan,

Right now, there is no reason to run the MutiEQ, or try any tweaks. There is waayyy to much stuff in the rather small room. Also, I will make some kind of rack and get rid of the chest, etc, etc. But I'm loving having audio finally. I notice the stuff in the room took away the nice soundstage, so I'm really just getting used to this. Earlier when the room was clearer, I did get great staging, and with good source material these things are sweet. Looking forward to moving them around, putting them on isolation pads, etc, etc.
When no one is home, I'm glad for the 230W into 4ohms from the Behringer. I like classical, jazz (the good bumpy, edgy kind from 50's thru maybe 70's), blues, getting into african and some eastern sounds. Lately, I'm listening to remixes and strange stuff. Sony put out a remix of Billie Holliday only just last week. About 15% BH, the rest various DJ's. I heard a copy. Not enough Lady Day for me, but she never did get good sound, so it was different.
Must stop now, or this'll get shifted to another room.

                                thanks,

Thank you all for the kind words, you've got to understand, I really LIKED doing all that, and can't wait to get into the Center. I'm thinking I'll use a bigger collet guide and a 3/8" spiral upcut on this, and, just for kicks, make a template out of a 1/2" sheet of MDF to screw to the 3/4" that allows me to make ONE LONG CUT on each side of the 4x8, ala the cookie cutter above, then just run the whole thing through the saw and chop them all off, 13 at a time.
                                Hmmmm....
Oh yeah, that'll get posted. If it happens...

I really like the look of the roundovered and black top piece. It's so simple, I don't know why no one has ever done that... a very nice accent!
