Beginner + Baffle construction tips, how to isomount, etc

I should be receiving a majority of my drivers this week and will begin cutting mdf test baffles and was wondering if you guys had any beginner tips related to construction.

Specifically, how do I effectively isomount drivers (making sure not to mark/scratch them) and what materials would I need?

What parts will I need (recommend speaker cable, connections, stuff like that) for my construction? I'll just place a big order at partsexpress.

seperating the driver basket from the baffle, and mounting it by its magnet

Have you reviewed the way Linkwitz does it? You may not have access to custom sheet steel fabrication or welding, but the way he did it for the Orion ++ is pretty much what I'd recommend.

Another thing that could work well is a large hose clamp. You can get these on McMaster Carr, and they screw down with a decent force and can get a fairly good grip on things that are approximately round. We definitely overused them for prototyping at my last job where we were working on wheelchair designs. We overused them because they were convenient and we had a large tray of them at hand- and once in a while they weren't exactly the right tool for the job. It's kind of like a far stronger and more rigid version of duct tape.
