    Advice on Modula MTM

    Hello all,
I am a new to DIY speaker building. I found out about PE a few years ago and was pleased that it is only 20 min drive from me. I purchased and put together the BR-1 and use these as my computer speakers. I am about to finish up my current project soon. It is a TriTrix center speaker in a Triune style front ported enclosure. My question on the Modula design is I have seen this speaker made with a Seas tweeter and the Dayton tweeter. What is the pros/cons between these two tweeter choices? What tweeter is generaly prefered?

    Thanks

The Seas tweeter is going to be a bit more forgiving of mid-fi electronics.

The seas tweeter also has more output above 15khz, although only young people with good ears could tell any difference. Also, the seas tweeter is about $20 less. I'm not sure if there's a major cost difference between the two crossover versions.

Cost in crossover is nearly identical, though whether you use the film and foils obviously has an impact. Personally I like the RS28a version a little better, though there's a set of the Seas version in my HT room. Hard to go wrong with either...
