    Where to find out about local events?

    Hi, I'm getting interested in making some speakers and have been reading several threads. Several people talk about different DIY events that they have gone to. I'd love to go to one but do not know how to find out information about where and when they will happen. I saw that one was in Iowa several months ago and I would have loved to have gone since I live in Iowa City. If someone can point me to a site that I can check out upcoming events I'd apprieciate it. Thanks
