    Eton 7-372

    I have searched, but I havent been able to find any info on this Driver. Anyone have any experience with it?

    Yes, years ago. Stiff light cone, break up mode is fairly high, not a very sophisticated motor, short xmax, midrange distortion is higher than you might expect due to inductivity modulation.

    Specs are at Madisound, of course, as well as at Eton online.

    The 375 is better, IMO, but still not state of the art, particularly not at the price compared with a Peerless 830883.

    JMO.

      I'd wait for the new eton drivers coming out in April. They will have new motors. The 375 has low distortion except for a slight bump in 3rd order harmonics around 1.5-2K because of the break-up node at 4.5k. I prefer eton cones over the peerless nomex.

          email eton, that's what I did but they didn't tell me specifics, just that there will be 2 new drivers. I think there was some info in a HOBBYHIFI.

            I cannot wait to see the spec of those. Hopefully a great motor with one of the best cones I know.
