is it possible to electronically overcome comb filtering?

as the title states, im wondering if its possible to overcome comb filtering with some sort of equalization.

With a steep acoustic slope you can minimize comb filtering with a line of woofers provided that you set the crossover point at the right frequency. With the tweeters you really cannot avoid it; however, the measured effects will vary with your microphone height. With a properly designed array comb filtering isn't really a problem because what you hear is the total power response from many angles. The peaks and dips will tend to average out.

depending on the application digital time alignment would prevent it

of course that is not ecconomical in a line array since it would require one channel of amplification per driver

would be interesting to see an active comercialy built line array that functions that way

i cant imagine how a line array wouldnt have comb filtering w/o such a setup
          can you explain rick ?
