    New Dayton woofer?

Is this new? I don't remember anyone mentioning it. Wonder if this is also made by Usher? Looks like a nice motor, although the FR has quite the dip at 800-1500 Hz.

Not new. Not Usher. I remember it from several years back.

PS. Scan Speak, Usher, Dayton Euro; all use the same cone from a German manufacturer. I believe that's correct, although a little foggy on the German part.

Has the same vices as other drivers made that way- first breakup/decoupling mode in the 800-1000 Hz area, rising upper midrange response. I think I recall seeing some distortion testing; unforunatley, the motor isn't Scanspeak SD1 class.

The Dayton Euro looks distinctly different from the Scan and Usher carbon paper cones, so it is most likely not made by DKM of Krefeld.
