    Vifa D26NC55 Availability

    fyi according to Brian at Madisound they have 140 of the D26NC55 still in stock. There were a couple of questions about them this weekend so I figured I would pass it along.

          I think it's safe to use the D26NC55 in published projects. That's enough to keep Mad stocked for a year or two. By then, something better should come out.

            On the subject of the D26NC55, Aperion Audio uses a unique version of it that has a lowered resonance to ease crossing over lower. It would be neat to grab one of those and check it out.

            I heard from the marketing guy there after making fun of their patents in my blog a while back. :B But, I can't fault their choice of drivers.

                I'll know soon, got a couple of those on the way. TB drivers are kinda like Hi-Vi drivers, a mixed bag. Some good, some bad. I tested a Hi-Vi tweeter last weekend. They went from my testing baffle to my garbage. I thought about putting them on Ebay but my conscience wouldn't let me.
