I'm trying to complete the crossovers for my version of Chris & Brian's large RS 3way towers. I can't find some of the capacitors at the proper values. My questions are, can "Capacitors as well as Inductors" be wired In series or paralled to aguire the correct value and is the use of non-polarized Capacitors acceptable? Jon...

Capacitors you wire in parallel; inductors in series, to increase/add value.
You mean "non-polarized electrolytic capacitors"? The metal film types are inherently nonpolar; electrolytics are ALL polarized, and a non-polarized electrolytic is made by packaging two polarized caps in series, which obviously increases the ESR. Electrolytics not recommended by me, but check with Chris for his designs- in some areas like LF zobels may not make as much difference. They have issues with drying out, change in value with temperature, etc.the AudioWorx
