    subwoofer distance from tv

    how close can I put a non sheilded sub to a rear projection tv(old school 60 inch mitsubishi if it matters) Sorrry if this is a stupid question.

    I don't think it matters with rear projection TVs.

    I know it matters with regular old CRT tube tvs. But, from what I understand it really varies from tv to tv, depending on how much shielding they have.

    Based on my experience with a Toshiba 32" tv and an RL-P15, I think, without added measures, 1.5 feet is probably good. If you have a problem, you can line the inside of the box with steel to add shielding, or you can try adding some bucking magnets (cheep) to the back of the driver. Both seemed to help in my experimentation.
