Dipole vs. Bipole?

Thanks to the forum I have a pretty good understanding of dipole. but very little about bipole. and more importantly, what happens when you mix the two different radiation patterns in one speaker. I hope this was worth asking.

Bipole is a lot closer to monopole or omnipole than dipole. In the bass region (under baffle step) bipole is basically the same as monopole.

I haven't tried to mix dipole and bipole, but I would say if you can make dipole mid and monopole bass work together, then dipole + bipole should be "possible" also. Not easy, but possible.
