new neo8 system? ideas, guide me please!

I have been wanting to try open baffle for a long time but I just don't have the money to buy enough woofers for dipole bass. I would like to build an open baffle with the new 2 dipole 5/8" dayton domes,1 neo8pdr dipole,1 rs225dipole,2 rs225's in bipole. will the bipole be any better than monopole?
maybe some other idea's on how to use the neo8's maybe one hi-vi 8.8 and the neo monopole?

What domes are you speaking of? Not quite sure I follow your interest. And, how are you going to approach crossover?

I keep hoping I can find time to play with open baffles 'cause I very much want to - the basic driver set hasn't really changed much over time: Neo3 or ribbon tweeter, Neo8, RS225x2, some 12" or 15"x2 on the bottom... Or may be a couple 12's and a 15" monopole...

      neo8 system guidance

well my original plan was to use the neo 8 from 800hz up. Then one rs225 dipole. And finally two rs225's monopole. I didn't realize the neo 8 had the upper end problems that it did.
I could use a neo 3 for the top end. But I thought to save money I could use one of the tiny dayton tweeters, maybe two of them in a dipole setup to keep the radiation pattern the same. It seems like a waste of money to use a tweeter as expensive as the neo if I'm crossing in the 5-6k range.....? for the x-over I wanted to go passive for the dipole, and use my beringer to cross to the 2 monopole 8's. but It sounds like the dipole bass is the best part. so now I frustrated that the neo8 is not what I had hope for, which was a simple two-way on the dipole and an active woofers.

My fascination with a ribbon in this application is extension to 40kHz - I might cross at 3-4k, no more. I'd probably target ~900-1kHz of the Neo8 to RS225(s) and ~300 on the bottom to something more substantial like the 12's or 15's.

Take a look at the Arvo design - 8's and 12's dipole, monopole tweeter crossing ~1.2kHz (is there a RS225 version of this? don't remember).

My hearing stops at 16k. sucks to be me. Do you think the monopole bass is going to create problems. like imaging in the lower vocal range? Thanks for you ideas.
