    Bosch 1617 and Jasper Jig?

Anyone have this combo setup? I was silly in thinking Bosch would keep their plate the same when moving from the 1613 and 1615 and I have the 1617 and it seems the jigs will not fit with the standard holes.

I don't want to go back to the Ryobi, but I may have to.

    Thanks!

Can you drill out the jasper using the new Bosch as a template?

I'm pretty sure I have a 1617 and it fits. I'll check when I get home. I've got both the fixed and plunge bosch of that model/vintage/era.

As I recall it took me 15 minutes to figure out the hole pattern. It's a bit of a rubix cube puzzle...

Hey that would be great. In the meantime, I better go make sure I checked all the holes.

Otherwise, I might end up doing as Thomas Suggested.

        Thanks!

I'm looking at a 1617 myself to replace my old porter-cable, so I'm interested in finding this out too!

I've got the Sears model that looks just like the 1617 and the Jasper Jig does fit. It may not be an EXACT copy all the way to the holes in the base though

Do you guys happen to have pics of the router(s) with the base on? That way, I could try to visually line things up.

                Just a thought...

I can get you a pic of the jig installed on my plunge base. Stay tuned...

                    That would be great, dyazdani

In the meantime, I went and messed with things some more. I ended up taking off the factory base plate, and then tried to line things up again.

Some holes line up, so now I will make a couple test cuts to verify. I should have thought to take off the factory base plate last night.

Sweet- yeah, the ticket was the factory baseplate.

I checked on my model 400 and model 270 and the holes line up pretty much the same as on your 200 there.

                          Thanks for that image!

I'm trying to attach images and I posted links to the model 400 and model 270 installs on my 1617 just in case anyone else has this question in the future.

Edit: that 200 seems nice, all the cuts with one jig...

Glad you could get it to work. I've got the other jig as well, the 400 I guess, it's still in the package.
