While an avid DIY'er in other areas just getting into speakers (with the full knowledge that it is contageous and will spread into other areas such as amps and even better speakers). I've looked over the "Mission Accomplished" and most speakers appear to be 4 ohm. I have no problem with 4 ohm mains, but when the receiver specifies 6 ohm minimum for center and surrounds...thats a problem.
Most commercial mtm (or WmtW) centers are 8 ohm but virtually every DIY I see is 4 ohm. Am I missing something? Are there any decent projects rated at 8 ohm - other than the majority of 2 ways?
Could someone help focus me where I need to look. Thanks.
MODERATOR: As a suggestion, while the abbreviated postings consolidating links was nice, may want to consider a "quick summary" of each of the projects that lists some of the major technical specs and features. That would save a lot of time and help people focus as there are a phenominal number of posts to plow through in the "Mission Accomplished."
