Waveguides, the Modulas and the TMWW

I have been reading about the waveguides with great fascination. I am curious if the waveguides like the one Krutke uses would be of benefit to these designs. The TMWW might not be helped, but it looks like a waveguide could help the Modulas. Any thoughts?

I can imagine it would help in the Modula's case, and I've thought about it. However it would require reworking the crossover and thus it wouldn't be a Modula anymore.
