I hope you're not taking the picture from your listening position.
Dr. Toole might like it if they were all subs, but alas, there seems to be tweeters involved.

    Cheers,

Get that coffee table out of there and put a sub in its place. C'mon

Nice room - yes, that's a lot of speakers - I wouldn't get by with it at my house...

For the first DIY project, did you take the drivers out of Athena speakers and rebuild the cabinets?

Yeah I have to agree that is a had much. I am getting lip for having two pairs of speakers in my room, small firing across the short distance for TV/Movie and a larger ones firing the long length of the room. She says its too much. You got to pick your battles, imo. The more you let her win some battles the more you can take issue on others....like the glass coffee table. That is one I won't back down on with my wife as it ruins the sound immensely, even my wife admits.

I think you need to bi/tri wire them all.

No. I basically customized the Athena AS-B2's with leather front, black laquer emblem, and reverse painted lucite panels. The smaller AS-B1's have reverse painted lucite sides and a wood top.

I had them looking like this awhile ago.(see pix)

And no I really don't use all of them at once. I was cleaning the carpet in my work room and had to put them somewhere.

I also have a pair of these, but they've been put away since getting into DIY (or as the wife says "DUI" :brunette: ).

You should get together with Craigsub and set up the first 14.14 system. 8O

Yes 6.5" powered from a Promedia 2.1 setup. Hooked to mains pre-out on my Pioneer 1015 tx receiver.

                                    Good eyes!

Wow your seriously have an absence of sub problem Currently I have a promedia 5.1 Ultra setup until i get my speakers built :B The sub has 2 8" subs It's amazing how much output it has, but doesnt go low at all subsonic filter screws it all up and i doubt it could handle it with it off.

Thanks. They are Guarneri replicas (I call them "Sonus Fakers" :loser: ).

I used Usher drivers and am very satisfied with them. The tweeter is the best I've heard so far.

I noticed I posted an older photo of them before refinishing them to a piano red gloss. Below is a more recent photo. :blah:
