Is this amp OK for my sub?

I am building a ported Sound Splinter RL-p15 sub in a 260L enclosure. I found a really good deal on a pro amp made by Numark. They are a pretty big name in DJ gear like turntables and stuff but I don't know about their amps. I was able to dig up a couple of user reviews (all in Europe interestingly) and they were all very good. However the specs have me wondering. First of all there aren't many specs offered (which I consider a potential bad sign) but some of the features on this amp are pretty nice. It is the Numark Dimension 3 and here is a link to the website http://www.numark.com/pdf/manuals/Dimension 3.pdf . Let me know what you think or if you have any experience with these.

One of the things I like about this one is the signal pass--thru feature. This would work nice for my bass shakers so I wouldn't have to split the signal. It also has muted power up feature which is kinda nice. Really the only thing that has me worried is the THD which is said to be only .002% in the features list but then later says it is 1% at 20Hz to 20kHz at full power. Makes me think that maybe the .002@ is at like 1Watt power or something and 1% is at full power. Another interesting note is that the THD on the EP1500 is also 1% in 4Ohm bridged mode. Is 1% THD enough to make an audible difference?
    Also-
I noticed in the specs for the Behringer EP1500 that the output is -10db below 20Hz. Now this may just be "how it is" for all amps and it is just conveniently left out in the specs for the Numark but a 10db loss is quite a bit when you are talking about the frequency range that you are paying more money and doing more work to get down into.

Don't know anything about that amp. Generally speaking DJ amps aren't something we have a lot of faith in.

I noticed in the specs for the Behringer EP1500 that the output is -10db below 20Hz.
I think you read the spec sheet incorrectly.

Thanks ThomasW. Here is a cut and paste of what I am concerned about:

      FREQUENCY RESPONSE 20Hz to 20kHz, +0/-1 dB
      (at 10 dB below rated
output power) 5Hz to 50KHz (at -3dB pints)

      What does that mean?

      Thanks

        It means those specs....

        20Hz to 20kHz, +0/-1 dB
        5Hz to 50KHz (at -3dB pints)

were measured with the unit operating 10dB below the full rated output power of the amp.

Numark are makers of specialist turntables for turntablists.
Get ready for some poo-bahing about DJs and DJ related gear, but in reality but there is no such thing as a DJ amplifier. Palmtree, this amplifier falls into the class of professional sound reinforcement amplifiers (mostly class G) that are typically used in commercial installations like bars and clubs.

For people in the industry, Numark is famous for its turntables designs and I'd be willing to bet that these amplifiers are built by another OEM and rebadged a Numark (to expand the product line)

For a subwoofer amp any of the pro-sound amplifiers will do the job. The things to look for in a subwoofer amplifiers is high power and low impedance capability. For domestic use you'd want low noise, so check the fan noise(dB)

Nope no such thing....Beware of amplifiers that list "peak power"

Numark isnt even one of the better DJ gear. Their turntables are cheaply made and what not so i wouldnt guess their amps are much better. When it comes to turn tables stantons are much better But we arent talking about turn tables so never mind that comment.
