Grill cloth

While i think my speakers look great, it's time to find a grill to protect those aluminum drivers.

What would be the best choice for grill cloth that is acoustically transparent.

You can use any single knit fabric that's 'transparent' when you hold it up to the light.

And i would say the thinner and easier to see through the better!

Grill cloth is all pretty transparent and it isn't the real problem with grills. The problem is diffraction off the frame that can give you severe comb filtering. You need some thick felt between the tweeter and the frame to prevent uglies. It can be built into the grill.

I like wire mesh.There is a custom metal shop around the corner from my house.I'll look around his shop to see what might work.Then wrap it with cloth.The added strenth of the wire mesh would add to the protection of the drivers.
