Yeah, it's a bummer that I'm not going to be able to make the meet either...damn wedding. :M I am definitely still interested in getting together with you all and I would even consider lugging my sub along as well. When is the Chicago DIY meet this year?

I'm up here in bass country, Oregon.. close to the border of Washington. If we can figure something out, I'm willing to fly to where-ever though. I already told the wife, so all it takes is a date next year and I'm good to go.

"Told the wife". I haven't told my wife anything other than "I'm done--what's next?" for years. By the way, I live right smack in the middle of the USA. Everyone can come to my house since I will surely have my room and sub done by next year. Oh wait! That would require me telling my wife that a bunch of strangers are coming over to destroy the house 8O .

Unfortunately I've already taken off way too many days from work. Saturdays are my off day, but Sunday I work from 9-7pm and I doubt i'll get home in time for work... Also, my finals start the following week after that and I have a lot of catching up to do. Maybe next time!

Yeah, that's exactly what we're trying to avoid- you showing up. That's why we all moved to the midwest.

Totally off topic, but I started browsing the Purdue Technology site and I found one of my projects posted on a course website as an example. I took an intro to CG course senior year for fun and at the end we had two weeks to make a flash file that combined the movie The Incredibles and the book Prey. We were advised to use geometric shapes as opposed to fluid figures. Just thought I'd share - about 70% of my 2 weeks went to the sound editing, and there is a part in there when the nanobots form up where I combined the sound of a swarm of bees with a 20hz and 60hz sine wave lol, had to write a warning on the cd I turned in not to play it too loud on computer speakers. Voices aren't me, and I know it is far from a great animation, just something for fun that had nothing to do with my major.

Wow, I didn't even know that they offered a class like that. I'm wishing I would have taken a couple of more fun course like that. It sure would have beat the First Aid course I took my last semester... or would it. hummmm

Pretty cool animation. But, you know you used a differnt font in the beginning than at the end. Very amature.

But, you know you used a differnt font in the beginning than at the end. Very amature
If you look closely, the font I used at the beginning is the same font used from the Alien series, part II being a favorite of mine - the way Purdue set it up, it naturally fills your screen, and it distorts things a bit, but it's the Alien font all the way.
