I've got a pair of JBL J350a 3-way loudspeakers (circa 1980-ish) that I use in my second system in the upstairs den. The drivers are in good shape and they sound decent but one thing I didn't like about them was the cabinet construction and wide baffles that they have (15-3/4"). I've got some leftover MDF laying around so I'd like to rebuild the crossover with newer components and rebuild the cabinets with better internal bracing/internal volume but with a narrower baffle profile of 10-3/4". I was able to obtian a .pdf file of the original technical manual showing the crossover schematic and a few of the driver specs.
Can any of the crossover gurus assist me in changing the crossover to accomidate for the change in baffle step? Is this even going to be worthwhile to undertake? I can send the .pdf file to anyone who wants to tackle it. Thanks.
