What size enclosure are you looking at? I'm doing 650 to 750 per unit, (3.8 cu ft each) and it's working out fine.

I'm only doing 450 watts in mine, basically same size as Steve's.

600 into my dual 4 ohm - no problems in a ported enclosure - I can bottom it, but it becomes obvious way before hand.

I've got 840w (according to Nady) into each 3 cu ft enclosure. I really doubt I'm using all of it though.

I think you are trying to get me in trouble Steve. My wife is already afraid that somehting in the room will break in the heavy bass scenes. I do need to get around to securing stuff on the fireplace mantle with blu-tak or something because of all the rattling that happens when the candlesticks and pictures hop around. Maybe after I get that done I'll crank it a little more.

I should back up and state, I need more time to play with my subs, but I'm starting to think that I didn't buy enough amp. I think that I'm getting clipping distortion.

I am running 650 into each 4 ohm voice coil for a total of 1300 and I have never seen a clip light come on, nor have I ever heard it run out of power. But I have never turned it up all the way either.

It isn't a conclusion yet. I'm still trying to figure things out. Just incase it was, I wanted to give as much warning as possible.
