    Router Bit Selection

Has anyone here ever used Whiteside Router bits? Pros, Cons? I have a good collection of CMT and Freud bits but they dont make a raised panel profile that I am looking for and Whiteside does. Any thoughts?

Yes, I've used a lot of Whiteside bits and find them excellent. Here's an online review of several different router bits.

I only use Whiteside, they rule.

      Cons?
      Cost more.

Thanks guys! I will give them a try, I had never used them before and did not want to be buying some cheap made bit. When it comes to something that spins at thousands of RPMS with your fingers so close, I tend to want to work with the best, Dont really care about cost.

          I snagged mine from routerbits.com

I have a large selection now and they work nice.
FYI, I did get order one bit one day and it had a small
chip in the carbide. Gave them a call and they shipped
me a new one with envelope to send the old one back.
          Fast service.

Ahhh Great! Looks like they have a profile that will work! Thanks for the info! I am in the process of building some kitchen cabinets, I found some that I wanted to copy, but the profile they used in the raised panel section must be their own design. So getting close is good enough. Here is a pic of what I am cloning.
