Shoveling snow isn't any fun...so it's a good time to start work on crossover networks for the new 3.5 way surrounds!
Two SS 18W8531 bass, mid is (for now) Seas MCA15, tweeter SS 9900. Bass is sealed ~60 liters, mid is resistively loaded "open" back (4 layers of felt carpet pad for a starting point). XO ~350 & 2500 LR4. Cabinet is 1.5" MDF with 1.25" roundovers.- Bottom

Actually, no broken branches...the spruce trees that look bent/broken are naturally "droopy". A couple of birch trees are bent over, but not broken...gotta have some luck h:- Bottom

That look's nice. Here in southern Finland we have maybe 3 inches. Actually Conan O'Brian is currently visiting Finland and he and his crew are tomorrow going to the northern parts of the country where there's like 20-30 inches of snow. Hope he get's some nice footage to put in his show..
Paul W, would you care to show a picture of the back of the speaker? How did you implement the open back mid?- Bottom

Hi Jon,
I'd say 10-12" here in South Jersey (between Philly and AC). A very heavy snow for this area. Not much compared to my Chicago days...now that was winter!!!
Thanks Keith. (You must be in southern IL!)
Landroval,
Here's a shot of the back. Even the 3" thick top is solid MDF (cabinet extention was a late change for tweeter diffraction). Today is the first time I've fired them up, so resistive loading will likely change a lot over the next weeks/months. Just 4 layers of carpet pad to start but I intend trying many different materials.
Regards,
Paul
