In norway this is around 2100,- NOK, that should be approx 260 USD (that's includes 25% norwegian tax)

For reference, the Millennium is 1885 NOK and SS D2904/710000 is 1850 NOK.

About the S2905/9700 isn't that just one of those "shieldingmagnets"?

I think so. When I first saw the photo I thought it had a plastic case above the rear magnet. But in all likelyhood its just a wider dia. motor magnet with a smaller bucking magnet. At least I think so.
Riddle me this. If the Millennium is 35 NOK more than the 71000, why is the 71000 (that I'm sweet on) 100 USD more than the Millennium here :M

Pricing in different countries are strange...another example is SS9800. Madisound sells it for $198, $28 more than the Millennium. In Norway the 9800 is 1350 NOK compared to 1885 NOK for the Millennium.

But all drivers are cheap in the US compared to in Scandinavia. Today 1 $ is 6,73 NOK wich means a pair of Millennium costs $560 here! 8O

We have to add shipping fees, duties (~3,5%) and taxes (22-25%). A pair of Millenniums would be like ($340 + ~$60)*1,035*1,25 = $517

520 Hz Fs is impressive, but is that worth much with +/- 0.2 mm xmax?

I depends of which spl you want to have, cross higher if you need output.

Drive units are also expensive here in Holland. A scanspeak 7000 is about 340 euro/ piece (during introduction it was 500 euro). I think the 6600 is price >300 euro. But I still want to use some of these... .

The 9700 is shielded, is that causing the difference in freq response.
