Have you tried claritycap? Is it good?

I've seen the ads and been to their site, but they lost me when they said "manufactured from 4 um thick polypropylene film and copper clad steel terminals". Ferrous metals in the signal path has always been a bad thing in my experience. (APW, PW caps)

In all cases they appear to be using metallized film.

The best sounding caps I've heard so far are all film and foil. I use AudioCAP Theta in tweeter sections of crossovers, and as supply byass and coupling caps when required in electronics.

But if you have a chance to get some and compare them with some good film and foil, we'd be interested to hear your impressions.

Curious if you've found differences in measurable characteristics of caps along with audible ones.

There are measurable difference in caps with regards to dielectric absorbtion, ESL, and ESR, and the exact influence of each is something that is often debated.

Just as the measurable differences in speaker cables. For example, Cardas Golden Reference speaker cables are much lower resistance than AWG12 zip cord, but probably more importantly they have much lower inductance due to the interleaved braided construction. There are many other aspects to their construction which have been refined over the years which appear to contribute to their signature, or lack of one.

Similar situation exists with the better caps.

In all cases, I don't advise folks to buy more than what they can hear, but with experience and time that often becomes a moving target. It's your money, your ears, and your money. (I mean "you" in a generic sense, not you specifically Noah).
