3000 cubic feet in the box. Two fifteens. 240W. Love it, though the drivers leave a bit to be desired - just waaaay too much mechanical noise down low.

I used a dual Tempest .6Q wall mounted sub for years and loved it.

I have two sealed 15" avalanches, each in a Parts Express 3.0 cubic foot box. They are run by a Crown K1.

The L/Rs subs have 2 JBL Sub1500s in each 6 cubic foot cabinet.

LFE sub is a Contrabass ported sub though.

Contrabass ported? I thought that the contra had dual active and dual passive radiators.

Subs for the mains too, cool.

                  Ajpoe,
Just wondering how many filter banks do you use on your BFD.Once I figured out TrueRta I got it down to two banks.Do you use any electronics to extend the frequency response?

That is correct but passive radiators are just another type of port.

I'm slowly becoming Brian's pitch man over the years, but the Rythmik is a terrific sealed music sub! Now if I could just get a decent camera....

Um... passive radiators are passive radiators.

Their own sets of benefits and downfalls. Response is often equivalent to what you could achieve using a port. But ports, they are not.

PR's and ports are both 'vented' alignments, let's just leave it at that....

Actually, I think the Tempests sounded better at low volume than the AV12s. Must be the suspension. I actually thought about trying 4 DPL12s instead but not sure if I want to give up the overhead. Of course I've put off some tests with the AV12s to make sure it's not related to something else.

IIRC you used some sort of velvety fabric right? I'm rethinking some of my finishing options of my sonosub and I think this might look good. Also, where did you get it and approximately how much was it?

Might as well post my specs too even though it's not fully completed yet.

15" Avalanche ~100L (~3.5 cu ft.) with a Q ~.547 powered currently by the ~100 watt amp off of my 10" dayton sub until I can figure out what's wrong with my EP1500. The thing still pounds off of 100 watts which is probably why I haven't gotten around to actually figuring out exactly what's wrong with my pro amp.

I used the BFD spreadsheet to chart my response initially and started out using all 12 filters my first try. After some practice I got it down to 8 filters. I used RoomEQ wizard and did some measurements with the 8 filter setup and it looked good so I haven't touched it since. I do not use any electronics to extend the frequency response.

Here's my lastest shiva sub, a 62l sealed powered by a 360w plate amp. Sold my last 95l vented, as my wife told me it was too big. So I built two like the one posted and she only "allowed" me to keep one in the room, the other is awaiting a buyer! I was planning on using each one a speaker stand for my new Audax mains I also built at the same time. Next time I will build abigger room! :W
