    when building a sub must you match gear?

    I hear so much about matching speakers that I thought I had to buy a Klipsch to match my klf 20's. If this is not the case any suggestions on building a powered sub and what parts might cost my new room being built is ~15'wide 16 deep and finished ceiling will be about 7' 3". Rec. is a JVC rx9000vbk.

    Long time audio junkie stepping up to real HT....
