I remember reading many times that alu cones for 12 in drivers were either difficult to make or did not make much sense. What was the argument again?

Coming to think of it, for 10 in., only the Seas L26/W26 and the RS270 come to mind, and for 12 in., only the Seas Lotus car subs, all of which were introduced quite recently. New advances in manufacturin?

              Yes they are alu.

The primary issues with metal cones are cost and being difficult to make.
